Top Acts last night was awesome!!
Firstly, a recap of that day. After an eventful day, finishing with a double sub chem period (BLUDGE) I went debating, which was fun. Then I met up with the outrageously awesome Vincent Chiang, who pulled me along to watch the MGS play rehearsals (I BOOM WITH A BIG VOICE) and listen to the MGSSO. How nostalgic. To think, that if I was still there, I'd be in both of those things...talking to my old friends was really nice...to think that they all remember me and care. *sniffle* how sentimental i am...
Anyway, we met up with MHS/Lauriston kids who were at State and ate dinner at a Japanese restaurant. HOW FUN! I had ramen. BECAUSE I LOVE RAMEN! <3 Then the Vincents went to Top Acts! Which was awesome.
The opening cellist played the cello, like a didgeridoo! LYKWTF! THAT'S AWESOME RIGHT?! I never knew cellos could play like that. After those acts, half of the others were either dancing or drama acts, the other were instrumental. The dancing ones...I can never understand dancing at all. What is it about?! Grah...so weird right? maybe not. Anyway, there was one violinist who played MY CONCERTO! (Danse Espagnole - Manuel de Falla [on that note, come watch the Concerto Concert where I'll be playing it!! (or just to see me phail ==")])
In other news:
At school - nothing much to report. Although, I have one thing that kind of bugs me, but is a double-edged sword. EVERYONE ALWAYS ASSUMES I'M SMART! Why is that? In many subjects, people turn to me for help, even if I don't know the material. They assume I'm smart. But I'm not. This sounds really immodest, but its true. I think it comes from the fact that I appear to be smart and like to help people, and because in some cases I'm ahead, I can help people. In other cases, even in things that I suck in, people think I'm good. But I'm not. I've never been. In many cases (such as baddy or mangareading) I always find that there are pros in that field. I can never catch up to them. I try, and fail, because I never have enough determination. A flaw? Maybe...
MANGA/ANIME: THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA SEASON 2 IS OUT!! OMG!! They're starting the Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody storyline! Which is like the best out of them all. Lol it probably won't be as random...but I really want that!! I read most of the translations for the light novels, so I kind of know what's going to happen. <3 Nagato Yuki...
BIRTHDAY IN A WEEKS TIME!! *excited* If only I had people who could spontaneously give me presents xDD OH WAIT! I have to go to a gay cultural involvement with my form. Italian Festival (extra GAYY) Not saying Italians are shit, but that spending my day there is kind of...well...I don't like it. I'd rather hang out with my friends xDD
Oh well. I might copy Mai later...post a birthday wish list. If I CBF.
