the annoying moment when

- the answers to math exams are wrong
- the answers to physics do not make sense
- law has been boiled down to 'bullshit and i'll pass'
- computing exam without computer (MINDBLOWN)
- everything is maths. EVERYTHING.
- your mind melts

I have studied too hard. =="

MIDYEARS

So like don't be expecting too much XD I did say I had midyears.

Kind of happy about my trial exams marks. I did about ten or so chem exams before the Chem Trial, and then watched Glee the night before, and pulled an ok score. Not to the standard of the year 12 group last year; they would rip me for getting so much wrong! But it was all cool. I know what to study more now xD

PSYCH was not too hard. Just alot of detail missing. Sad...was beaten. probably only going for Psych Prize this year ^^ Maths and Sciences are just for the freaks XD

I was really interested in this proof, but it turned out to just be a definitional thing. what a let down:

PROOF 1+1=2:
The proof starts from the Peano Postulates, which define the natural
numbers N. N is the smallest set satisfying these postulates:

P1. 1 is in N.
P2. If x is in N, then its "successor" x' is in N.
P3. There is no x such that x' = 1.
P4. If x isn't 1, then there is a y in N such that y' = x.
P5. If S is a subset of N, 1 is in S, and the implication
(x in S => x' in S) holds, then S = N.

Then you have to define addition recursively:
Def: Let a and b be in N. If b = 1, then define a + b = a'
(using P1 and P2). If b isn't 1, then let c' = b, with c in N
(using P4), and define a + b = (a + c)'.

Then you have to define 2:
Def: 2 = 1'

2 is in N by P1, P2, and the definition of 2.

Theorem: 1 + 1 = 2

Proof: Use the first part of the definition of + with a = b = 1.
Then 1 + 1 = 1' = 2 Q.E.D.

Note: There is an alternate formulation of the Peano Postulates which
replaces 1 with 0 in P1, P3, P4, and P5. Then you have to change the
definition of addition to this:
Def: Let a and b be in N. If b = 0, then define a + b = a.
If b isn't 0, then let c' = b, with c in N, and define
a + b = (a + c)'.

You also have to define 1 = 0', and 2 = 1'. Then the proof of the
Theorem above is a little different:

Proof: Use the second part of the definition of + first:
1 + 1 = (1 + 0)'
Now use the first part of the definition of + on the sum in
parentheses: 1 + 1 = (1)' = 1' = 2 Q.E.D.

Yeah I'm kind of sad like that.

Got a bit of new music from a good friend. Going through it all now...really is opening up my mind to new types of music other than the stuff I used to listen to xD HELPING MY MUSIC EDUCATION. YAYYY ain't it good? ^^

GLEEEEEE I quite love the singing...and I only recently found this!

GOOD LUCK PEEPS~

the nitty-gritty

LAMEEEEEEEEEE...or Michael-Lim worthy xDD Study has fried my brain...

ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN.

Exams. *SHOCK HORROR*

This is actually quite late. Everyone's having their exams already...but I've been HARDWORKING so I haven't updated. ALRIGHT? I hope the year 12's aren't stressing too hard, and DOING WELL IN EXAMS~ oh, and year 11's as well! YAYY!

Study was productive. I did a shitload of study on this study weekend (go me!). No French whatsoever (as I said ^^) and a LOT of history. Not enough though. IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH. I just hope I don't go into the exam regretful of lack of study :(

So I started NaNoWriMo. 12am - 1am. First hour. The only writing I'll be doing for a while. And I managed to crank out 1689 words. NANOWORDCOUNT: 1689. That shall be updated :DDD I hope I don't have any time between now and History exam to write, because I should be STUDYING :OOO

In other news, I've been relaxing with Friends. Not just actual friends, but the TV series:

I JUST SAW THIS EPISODE :DDD awesome sauce.

And the week of exams start

Good luck to everyone who has midyears [and exams and SACS]!! xDD I'm sure you'll do great...=]]

...Year 11's are the only ones that are going to school anymore. All the year 9, 10, 12's all have exams. Isn't that great? At the start of the day, T21 seemed so lonely without anyone there. It made me a bit sad too...and at the end of the day, orchestra was cancelled XDD well, supposedly, but anywayz...I didn't know that it was the end of the day, because there was like NO-ONE inthe corridors...weirdest thing ever...lol.

Studying for exams hurts. Especially for French and History. L'etranger is a bitch to translate, and reading all these history books is hurting my head. Far out. Let this end quickly...

Ending this quick update, recently people have been saying that my dp on facebook is very scary. See for yourself.
Not scary at all, right?

A Week of LOL

A busy week starting with sunday xDD.

MOTHERS DAY!! YAYY! Have a celebration for mother-y xDD (that's probably not a word but whatever) I made lunch and dinner (half of it anyway [the other half was my sister]) making SOY SAUCE CHICKEN! A WHOLE ONE!! It was hard to cut through the bone...and hurt my hands when I tried to smash down on the top bit of the knife (this explanation would be SO much better with chinese ==") I HAZ PIKCHURZ ON FB!! so go look.

Methods is getting much more interesting...because when I don't have to do work in Ms. Axup's class, I play Bejeweled on a friends Itouch XDD BEJEWELLED!! ENDLESSLEY (since I suck at any of the other ones =="). Although I learnt diff and antidiff by myself...I WANT TO LEARN UNIT 3 STUFF ALREADY GRRR!! I don't like being left behind by the year 12's who laugh at my stupidity.

CHEM! What can I say? WHAT CAN I SAY! Our class is starting to become more like a group than other classes in my opinion. We all have a shared hate for Mr. Kemp because he skips through chapters like a dog high on drugs and then expects us to have osmosised all the stuff in the chapter. xDD If only it was that easy...knowledge osmosis...THEN WE COULD SLEEP ON TEXTBOOKS AND BE SMART THE NEXT DAY! YAYYY!!

History Revolutions is pretty fun. For all his noobness, Mr. Reilly actually knows his stuff. But we're kind of rushing through some of the chapters now...so I dono...he keeps talking about trends and not going through the material we have to learn. Which makes me cry T_T

Oh yes...I stalked all the people at the PLC formal through facebook. Sorry.

Now I've started listening to K-POP. All because of Messr James Lew who started dancing some Suju at school. I now am starting to listen to K-Pop...which makes my net Asian-Pop genres come to...4? Mando, Jap, Canto and KOREANN. (But canto is still the best...)

I taught S.Ting shogi - he likey and want to play more. I NEED TO FIND MORE TIME TO PLAY!! Kento et moi don't have much time to play at all these days...T_T and shogi takes up so much time...can never finish a game unless we rush lol...Maybe in free exam periods??

ON THAT NOTE! EXAMS IN 5 WEEKS!! Should I be worried? 'cos I'm not. At all. Oh yes, after I've handed in my Gothic fiction folio, I'll post the stories here.

Gosh I've also found out that I don't post enough links and vids here. Maybe I should xDD..I'll think about it...when I get away from all the manga I read!! MANGAMANGAMANGA!! I really need to read some of the classic manga's before I can seriously call myself a mangaholic...YAYY!

I can see the ending...

Dec 15th

Is the day of VCE results. Is the day where all VCE students get up at 7am to check their phones for their SMS'ed results!!

And the day where I fretted for 20 minutes until the fricken results actually came. Which was a very nervous time.

TEXT OF SMS:

Results 2008.
VCE: N ENTER: NA
LO39: A, A+, A
Study Score: 36.
VCE.

I was damn shitted when I saw the 36, cos' I thought it was before scaling. But a few minutes later, having hurriedly logged on to MSN, I was damn relieved when Steve said it was RAW. I am of happy. My target score was 35, so I already win. =) I thought I was pretty shit this year, but whatever. A's are good. And I am happy. Looking over last years scaling, 35 jumped up to 46. Which means I have a high score!! XDXDXDXD Happy again.

Damn, I better get used to this...

May re-post something else later today.

Exams: 2, Vincentjr: 6

ready for the weekend

BLAH! I have had exams for the past week, so there haven't been any updates (duhh...). I feel really guilty about not feeling stressed about exams. LOL! Is that weird? I keep hearing people say they're so 'stressed' and that exam periods are supposed to be really, really serious. Like, seriously. I mean it. But for me, I've been just coasting through these exams. Obviously I did some study, but that wasn't too hard either. Maybe I'll feel more pressurized when I finallyhave to do my Unit 3&4 Chinese Exam next Thursday. Haven't ever done a VCE exam under those conditions, so I look forward to it with trepidation.

If you're wondering, the two exams that really raped me were History and English/French. As in, I think I did uberly well in English, but my teacher is a really hard marker and if you don't do EXACTLY what he wants, you get bad marks. For French, I think I really owned everything except the essay, which is pretty important. So yeah. Should be 3, but I feel better if it's 2. And yes, we haven't had the upcoming Maths exam on Monday, but I decided to put it up there because I'm so cool. Nah, I just feel really confident about this Maths exam. And if I seriously do screw it up, I'll update with the news. But don't expect to get one =P.

News for the PSP lovers (ie probably just me) Locoroco 2 and Patapon 2 are coming out! =). After next weeks exams I'm going to game probably every day, especially in Speech Night rehearsals. I have so many games that I have to catch up on! If you're wondering about what these games are, here are the PSP front pictures, and go look them up if you're so excited by them. Locoroco is a kind of platformer type game, whereas Patapon is a rhythm-like RPG game.

<- Patapon | Locoroco ->
Sorry the format is a bit screwed up, first time posting up these pics from the net (not first time posting pictures though!)

MANGA releases at time of writing blog:

Fairy Tail: Four Remain
Kuroshitsuji: That Butler, Freeloader
Hunter X Hunter: Main Body
Bakuman: Chocolate and Akamaru

Hopefully, above will become a regular thing on this blog. Obviously, I don't expect many people to read these, since they're the most recent updates. But maybe I may help people on to the road of manga-reading...

Anyway, a rant about my PC gaming skills. As most you know, Counter-Strike (CS) is very well known and a popular game with much of the teenage population. As a young, testosterone-fueled teenager, I also feel the urges to partake in such activities. And yesterday as we were changing maps from de_dust to cs_office, I felt pretty happy with myself, with a kill:death ratio of 22:17. And then I got totally owned. In cs_office, for the first 15 rounds, I didn't get one kill. My ending kill:death ratio was 3:25. Is that not fail? For those who don't know how to answer that rhetorical question, the answer is: yes.

Quote of the Whenever:
"The United States is a nation of laws: badly written and randomly enforced."
Frank Zappa

HA! I got back at America. =P to all the dissenters in the chatbox

And yes, if you're wondering why I put that lolcat there (you shouldn't) it's because I'm so excited about the weekend! It means I am one more week closer to my January Holiday to HK!! And with that, it is time to go.

Ah, McCain, you've done it ag- oh wait..you haven't...

Okay, okay, so I said that I didn't really care about the American election. But this news is BIG! like...REALLY BIG!!

That's right people. If you don't know - Barack Obama is now president. Wow. First Black President in US history. Why did it take so long?

Obama Pictures and McCain Pictures

Found on Internet somewhere...so quickly they make these things. Anywho, this election was probably finished as soon as Barack became elected as the candidate. I mean, there are so many black people in America, if they voted for McCain, they'd probably have the shit kicked out of them by other black guys (no offence whatsoever).

But it was very funny to see in the paper at around 3.40 today as I was traveling home, that the winning margin was Obama: 270 to McCain: 64....okay maybe that's wrong, but its as near as I can remember. Maybe its changed since then, but meh, that margin looks damn big. Weren't the polls saying it would neck and neck? I don't think so. =P

On a darker note, nearly everyone I talked to on the way back home today was saying that Obama would be assassinated. They were even taking bets on when! Most said on Inauguration Day, January 11, when he's officially sworn in. Others were saying not even a week. I say he's not too bad, and even when we do find out that Palin is behind the shootings, he'll be a hero in our minds (maybe?), just like Martin Luther King Jr. Now to wait for the hype in another 4 years when Barack Obama wins again. XD

Last few days have been pretty tiring. Got exams in less than a week, and still a few assignments to hand in. How to do revision at the same time? Got alot done in the last few days and is very proud of it, but becoming very stressed at what is to come...EXAMS!@# Example A: Civics and Citizenship, some gay assignment, is due on Monday. It's some random presentation on 'what it means to be Australian'. Lykwtf? A conversation on the bus:

Justin aka Koo-min: "Screw that man. I'm Korean. I don't care about Australia."
Dan: "Then why don't you go back to Korea?"
Justin: "Err, my parents don't wanna."
Jason: "Then get a job and save up enough money to buy an aeroplane ticket to go back to Korea!"
Justin: *Silence*

Riiiiggghhhtt....anyway. To the (inspirational? motivational? humorous? serious?) quote!

Quote of the whenever:
God runs electromagnetics by wave theory on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the Devil runs them by quantum theory on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Ahh, no wonder scientists can never get it right...

And that's another ten minutes of my time wasted on blogging.

Testing, testing

funny pictures of cats with captions

Just like the kitteh, I am tired. It is called...barely surviving. Blearh...exams in just over a week, with a 5-day holiday to study study study. Bringing home so many books is heavy and damn tiring, and after two hot and exciting matches of soccer/futsal, that kinda sucks. Blah again.

LOL about soccer. Yesterday at lunch, was playing soccer with friends on the hockey pitch. No black shoes allowed...how racist...but anyways. So one of the guyz is going for goal after a magnificent cross by our good friend Kento (or Tom?) and it goes OVER the wall next door. Imagine how we would feel. No more ball for us to play with...T_T party over. Then, with a large amount of visual acuity, our good friend Alex spotted a hole in the fence that we could climb up to. But how to get over? We had no clue about what was (cue dramatic music) over the wall. So one of the other guyz (dunno his name) climbed up and found that the ball could be easily gotten because the floor (of the building next door) was level with the hole (which was about two or three metres above the hockey pitch). Blearh...another random rant about stuff...insanity meter all gone now...

Trying out this video thing...I don't know if it works. I'm kind of new to this embed video from youtube type stuff, but when I get the hang of it, there'll be more coming! This video is a sketch from the timeless comedic genius that is Monty Python. This is a favourite of mine - if you watch and think its weird, either:

- I'm weird, or
- you are not intellectually capable enough to understand the jokes involved.

In many cases, it's probably the first option. Everyone will agree that I am a pretty unique type of guy. And that uniqueness has led to certain friends insinuating that I don't actually have any and have to pay for them! AS IF! That $20 was just...a gift...for something else. NOT friendship at all...=P And those particular friends have approached me to ask me to buy something from them...*hint hint*

Quote of the whenever:
I believe that all government is evil, and that trying to improve it is largely a waste of time

H. L. Mencken

This quote really does kind of reflect what I think of the US election. True, I may support one of the candidates, but the race has taken over the whole world's media. I see these Americans on the screen....ALL THE TIME!! I'm kinda fed up with the whole thing. Even after November 5, when they actually start voting, there'll still be lots of 'wow look its so-and-so', 'he's gonna be such a great president' until January 11 or whenever the 'swearing in' day is. So maybe the USA has been 'good friend's' with us for a while, and so maybe they are our greatest ally. But they make the whole world look at them, and Americanism has taken over the whole world. True, they produce good stuff (like Heroes =P) and maybe they have good 'monuments' and 'history', but who cares? The whole world is enraptured by this upcoming election. I'M NOT, and I'm pissed that they keep showing things that won't directly affect us.

Anyway, revision time for the amazing one, me

A post of boredom

Humorous Pictures

A cheer-up Lolcat for friends who have had a bad day......that may have been directly or indirectly caused by me. =P. Please cheer up, and don't blame me!

Those lolcats won't live forever....until I find something else to put there...or maybe the Lolcats will just stay there every single post! How would you, the viewer, react to that?! I like Lolcats, and this is MY blog of JUNC so you can't do anything anyway. XP

So today was traversed in a state of half-asleep/half-awake/half-elated/half-depressed (Yes, that's the new and improved 2 of me) Anyway, since I finished my Chinese Oral Exam yesterday, I feel I should be so much more happier...but it came and went and I didn't feel any different. Everyone who did it is really happy and w/e other stuff...I'm just fine...I never actually took it too seriously - which may be bad on my part, but meh...I did my best...I think.

What else did I do today? Ah yes, Photography class in the afternoon was a breeze...no work whatsoever. Teacher did not have a care in the world about us...supervising us doing nothing, although when Student Learning Co-ordinator came in, looked like was teaching us stuff ==". What a failure...

Played around with Photoshop a bit as well...sorry to those whose pictures may be a little stuffed because of the tweaks I did...[NOT]. Last night was stuffing around in Photoshop doing practically nothing, but doing it with style - see panoramas below. Pretty big and the quality isn't 100% good. Picture taken of Lake Bled in Slovenia last year...lazy me only put it together yesterday...and I learnt that Photoshop Photomerge is really weird...T_T IMO, the second panorama is better. I think I really screwed up the clone stamp tool in the first...the lake looks way too fake...T_T Need more practice =X

Quote of the whenever:
- But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
Carl Sagan

Errr....yeah I don't know why I put that there...probably a quote I found while trawling the nets. I was going to put a different quote, but I couldn't find it in my library of books =.="
EXAMS IN TWO WEEKS [Nov 11]....meh...should I start revising yet? [I have, btw]

Another post down....deadly dose of pictures and quote [check!]. I'll see if I can blog better stuff next time =X
